In 1992, I made a critical and life changing decision. I left doing formal therapy as a family counselor working with addicted adolescents, and decided to move from therapy to coaching and training. As I transitioned out of the hospital where I worked, I was asked by some of my clients if I could do for their business what I had done for their family. It was in this simple request I discovered that my passion and strength lies in helping good people and organizations to become better rather than helping sick people to become healthy. This required going back to school to get a Masters Degree in Organizational Development and a three year "field degree" with Saturn Consulting Services. It was one of the best decisions of my life. My work began in customer service and employee engagement challenges. It has expanded to executive coaching and international consulting. Over the years and through hundreds of clients and thousands of people clear trends began to emerge: 

1. Most leaders have transactional competence, but they often lack the transformational skills necessary to compete in a rapidly changing global market place.

2. Leaders and Organizations who focus on daily behaviors and not just monthly numbers, significantly outperform their competition in both up and down markets 

3. The most important measurement of leadership effectiveness is the discretionary effort of their employees.

4. Real and lasting change on the part of individual leaders and organizations requires awareness, practice and feedback.
